Sorry for the delay with the updates. Our social worker has just completed our homestudy. A copy was sent to us, our international agency, and the USCIS (Immigration). We have a scheduled appointment for fingerprinting in April. Most of our paperwork is completed. We have applied for passports. We had the opportunity to attend a seminar on international adoption last week that was very helpful. Some of the topics we discussed included travel, and special circumstances we may encounter with a child who has been in an orphanage. The seminar made us very excited about the day we get to meet our daughter. We're still very optomistic that we will get to travel before the end of this year.
We've begun making some preparations at home. We've purchased a bedding set for the crib we still need to get. We've decided on the color scheme for her room. Mostly, the room will be painted light green with white furniture and pink accents. We are getting more excited with every step of the process.
