Maya had a big weekend. On Friday, she took her first ride on a swing. We went to Cahill Park to play in the afternoon. She loved the swing. We tried the slide with dad's help. Maya was definitely interested in all of the other kids at the park. On Saturday, we took her to the Zoo with Grandma Joan. We all had a nice time on such a beautiful day. Maya had a grilled cheese and some ice cream. She even got to pet a goat. Then tried to eat his hair. Yummy! The third "first" was that Maya used a fork to feed herself. (with a little help getting the food on the fork of course!) It was a big weekend for Maya. I hope we didn't set the bar too high for weekends to come!

I love the updates - I'm so proud of you guys and I'm so glad this long awaited dream finally came through. Maya is absolutely beautiful and you can tell you both have brought out her true spirit - just look at that smile!
