We talked to Alice today, and the answers we got were not what we wanted to hear. We were told the delay is anticipated to rise between 20 and 22 month delay. This is 6 more months than the last update. Which is do to a lack of children available for adoption. The Chinese government is trying to have these abandoned children adopted by Chinese families in China. That is great news for these children, who otherwise wouldn't have a family, but very sad news for us and the thousands of other families waiting for their children. I'm trying to think of the positives that this delay brings, but instead of thinking with my head, I'm feeling with my heart and it's breaking. This is the path that we have been chosen to take, and there isn't any length of time that would take us from this path. We are connected to her by our love and the thought that one day we will be together.
