We can't believe that Maya is a year and a half today, and that we have been home now for a little over three months. Maya has done so much in this time. She now eats big people food, she is standing on her own and the best...She is laughing and smiling all on her own now! It has taken awhile, but she feels totally comfortable and has let down her guard. Maya started walking a few weeks ago, but she took a pretty big fall and now has no desire to walk. Oh well, she will do this when she is totally ready. My baby girl now looks like a little girl. Her face has totally changed and looks nothing like that baby she did three months ago. At 18 mo. she weighs 18.5 lbs. I know that doesn't seem like a lot to some, but considering she only weighed 15.5lbs. three months ago, that is great. We love our sweet Maya and she has blessed our family in ways I can't even describe. Watching her smile on her own and laughing out loud, is the best feeling that we have ever had.
Tim and I want to share our excitement and journey through this adoption with all our family and friends.
