Gotcha Day. 6. months later

Six months ago today, Maya was placed in our arms for the first time.   That was such an unbelievable moment.  I still remember the feeling I had, driving over to the govt. office to meet Maya.  I was so nervous of what was about to happen.
We walked into this big hot room, with leather coaches on every wall.  One side of the room was about 6 Chinese nannies, and on the other was 8 sweaty and very nervous about to be parents. I finally sat and was trying not to look around to much, then I saw her.  This tiny, little girl, swimming in the 9mo. old outfit that we had sent to the orphanage for her.  I was in shock, I couldn't believe that my daughter is sitting right across from me.  I nudged Tim to let him know that Maya is right there in front of us.  Tim and I both started to cry, we could not believe that after a 3 year wait, there she was.  From that moment on, we have been on cloud nine.  We believe that even though we couldn't see it at the time, God wanted us to wait.  He was waiting to bless us with Maya.

Yes, God does work in mysterious ways. I have learned that sometimes through waiting, the biggest blessings come.

Can't wait to see you guys again. Micah can't wait to meet Maya!

Today is a very special day for both Tim and Sheila. May 27 is their 13th Wedding Anniversary! Best Wishes to you both. I know this one is very special to both of you because of Maya. By the way, Happy Father's Day to Tim also. I'm not sure when in June it is and I may be out of town, so I'm sending this greeting ahead of time. Marie
