Changes start this week

Today is the last full day that Maya and I will have alone.  I start nanning for twin 4 yr. olds tomorrow.  Yikes!  The great thing about it, is I get to bring Maya with me to there house.  The bad thing about it, is Maya has to start getting up and dressed by 6am.  This is going to be a difficult adjustment at first.  I have been trying to get Maya to take a morning nap, instead of and afternoon nap for a week.  No luck yet.  As I'm writing this, she is upstairs babbling to herself in her crib.  I also worry about Maya picking up bad habits.  We have been introducing her to other kids and it doesn't take long for them to start doing what they do.  A month ago, we were at Gymboree and a little girl hit Maya.  At first, she just stood there in shock.  The next week, other kids were hitting each other and taking away toys.  Before we knew it, Maya went up to this little girl, smiled at her, then hit her.  Wow, that didn't take long!
I'm only with these kids for 5 hrs, then I take them to preschool.  So really, Maya and I will still have our afternoons, with just the 2 of us.  I'm really glad that Tim and I decided that I would stay home with Maya.  I feel that it has helped with the huge progress she has made.  I love being the one that teaches and shows her everything for the first time.
Let's hope that we will be able to continue that, while I'm guggling twins too!!
