Today we celebrated Maya's Gotcha Day. One year ago today, Sheila and I held Maya in our arms for the first time. It was the best day of our lives. Maya has changed so much this past year , we can't believe it. She is no longer our little baby. Everyday she finds a way to amaze us and make us laugh. And boy does she keep us on our toes. We have been so blessed with her in our lives, I still can't believe it. Sheila is fortunate to spend most of her time with Maya, and has done such a wonderful job teaching our daughter in every way. She is smart, curious, respectful (most of the time), loving and sweet. I would do anything for my girls. I love them both more than anything. We have to thank all of our friends and family for the advice and support since this journey began almost four years ago.

Today I just kept thinking about Maya. I even was thinking about coming over to visit. I had a feeling there was something special going on today. Cute picture and where did you get that balloon?
It's getting close to Thanksgiving, which reminds us all of your return home and our first time seeing Maya. Boy does time fly.
I can't believe it's been 1 year since this precious little girl came into our lives. She is too cute. She makes us even more a family, than before.
Lots of Love,
Grandma Joan(NANA JOAN)
