Happy New Year
Happy New Year everyone! It's 2008 and we hope this is the year we bring Maya home. We haven't had much news lately about our progress. Things are still moving really slowly in China. We recently emailed our agency to ask about the possibility of adopting twins. Our agency said that twins are quite rare, but we can request them once we begin the matching process. This is something that Sheila and I have been talking about for quite a while. We've always wanted to adopt more than one child, and feel that twins would a great blessing. The chances are very slim for us to be matched with twins. Our agency had one referral this year for twins out of 130 placements. We had a nice Christmas this year, but are hoping to spend 2008 Christmas with Maya and possibly her sister or brother.

Now we for sure have to get twins too! :) We are keeping our fingers crossed for you guys for a 08 homecoming!
We wish you guys the best on your parenthood quest. You guys truly have patience! Hopefully it will pay off in the end.
